Another song

Apparently I'm translating another song... I know I said I wasn't going to do any more (I always say that), but since in the space of a day I now have a chorus and a middle verse out of three, it looks as if I am fairly embarked upon it!

At least this one has a far looser rhyme-scheme than the 'New Year's Song', where some of those lines were almost impossibly short and tight -- here, weirdly, the first verse seems to be rhymed throughout, but the second and third quatrains are only rhymed on the second and fourth lines, and fairly loosely at that (which is why I started translating at the second verse, until I work out whether I'm going to attempt to imitate the original and rhyme the first and third lines on the first verse. There is always the danger that that will make the others look wrong.)

This seems to be a slightly elegaic song addressed to an aging spouse:

CHORUS:

You mean it doesn't open when you click on it?

It seems to function to shorten the extraneous paragraph of rambling before the snippet of lyric, which is all that I'd intended it for; I try to keep my individual blog entries concise enough that I can view lots of them per page when searching for them again in the future. I wasn't actually trying to hide the content...

That's out of my control, I'm afraid; it works here, but then I don't have JavaScript enabled, so instead of 'unfolding' a section it simply defaults to opening the entire entry as a new page without cuts.

So far as I can see there is nothing wrong with the syntax of the tags as such...
