I have another Boyarsky song stuck in my head now (and weirdly, I can't find the crude online translation I'm *sure* I saw for it when I first encountered the song and was desperate to know what was going on -- maybe it was just the YouTube auto-translate? At any rate I can follow most of it now from the lyrics and my memory, however obtained, of what it is *supposed* to mean...)

At least copying lyrics out by hand (because printing Cyrillic from a Web page involves pasting multiple snapshot image files, and is generally a pain since they can't then easily be edited to leave room for writing between the lines :-p) is good practice in multiple ways and not just for my writing skills...
Like copying out notes from a textbook as opposed to running a fluorescent highlighter over them, it seems to engage different parts of the brain in a different way. And it means I get to hear the music in my head and how it fits the words as I write. From a point of view of language learning, it also forces me to look at *all* the letters in a word's spelling instead of just recognising it by overall 'shape'... although the latter is of course the more advanced method of reading, as opposed to sounding the letters out individually!

I have picked the last of my tomatoes for fear of frost, although the plants are not quite dead; I need to get round to emptying the pots.
I also really need to pick the chillies, although despite my best efforts I still haven't succeeded in using up all the dried jars of chillies from my last harvest.
