Germination

I think we have the first actual tomato seedling; there were a couple more that seemed to be bending their necks last night, but those don't look all that healthy this morning. It is still so terribly cold overnight, even in March (I'm sure it has been colder in the last few weeks than it was before Christmas).
I also think there are a couple of chilli seeds that look as if they might be poking out roots, although those were the ones that were too close to the surface and I promptly covered them over.
We seem to have one marigold seedling bending its neck and sending a reddish stem out of the edge of its seed-case. No sign of life from any of the seeds in the mini-greenhouse yet -- they went in a week ago.
