The buddleia flowers are over (the single spike dead and brown) -- not a lot to show for all that waiting...
The two chilli plants are both covered in flowers now, and there are a few dark purple fruits sticking up on the dark-leaf chilli. The purple flowers are definitely strikingly different in comparison to the ordinary white ones, but I question whether the fruit is likely to ripen if it doesn't set until September!

Well, I wasn't planning to propagate those further, anyway; they were just an experiment/expedient in case the Demon Red variety didn't work out, and despite the low germination rate it does look as if it has. Assuming that at least one of the many Demon Red chillies of this generation ripens to maturity, and by precedent they have another month or so in which to do it.
