Nightmare

I dreamt that my brother and I were serial killers and had been murdering people in a casual, computer-game, intellectual-entertainment fashion for years, and our parents had started to suspect. Then I went down to check on the cellar where I was keeping the decaying bodies, and managed to scare myself silly with the sight while my dream-self was terrified of getting caught and wondering how on earth I was going to cover all this up. Which didn't stop me going off and proceeding to dispose of my ex-girlfriend and her daughter under the guise of giving them a tour of a pottery kiln and getting the little girl to play a game with molten iron(?)

It took me quite a long time to wake up enough to convince myself that I hadn't actually done anything. The worst nightmares are never the ones where I am getting chased by monsters, but the ones where I *am* the monster...
