Friends-locked posts

I've had two new people subscribe to this blog in the last week (not quite sure how that happened!)

So I should probably mention that due to some kind of incompability between my browser and Dreamwidth's locking system, I can't read any post or blog marked as having 'adult' content AT ALL, and I can't see friends-locked posts even if the owner of the blog has nominally given me access. (I can't even seen my *own* friends-locked posts, which is why there are only about two of them on this entire account; once my content is posted, it's effectively invisible unless someone comments and I get an email notification.)

I'm not ignoring people. I simply don't get to see the 'private' content.

*waves* I subscribed to your journal because I am a fellow Phantom of the Opera fan, and I need more PotO content on my Reading list. And I had a look at your journal and find your postings lovely, be they PotO or not.
I am sorry that Dreamwidth and your browser do not play nicely with each other.
All of my entries are friends-locked because I had experienced a nasty case of stalking in the past, but I must say that I do not post much anyway these days (mostly Dear Writer letters for fic exchanges). I am here for polite lurking <3

*waves back* Nice to 'meet' you -- yours was the journal I couldn't view at all (not because it's friends-locked, but because I can't get past the 'adult content' prompt in the first place), but I did manage to see your profile and guessed that it was probably a POTO connection :-)

And I had a look at your journal and find your postings lovely, be they PotO or not.

Thanks! It's mainly container-gardening and cookery at the moment, with periodic fic-writing interludes... (I used to have a superstition that it was bad luck to talk about a story while it was still in progress because that was inviting disaster in the shape of failing to finish it, but after blogging for so long about Arctic Raoul and yet successfully getting to the end of that, I think I've probably disproved it.)

I very rarely lock posts. It only tends to happen when I'm talking about something very personal.
