Finally -- and much to my surprise given FFnet announcements -- I managed to access every single one of the stories in my favourites and in my Raoul community (which unfortunately did not entirely overlap; not everything that went in there got favourited, though I'm not sure that was a quality judgement so much as an omission). Some of them had to be downloaded in the less-accessible 'desktop' format, but since the body text is the same it should theoretically be possible to doctor that by editing the header material.
I've spent the afternoon extracting relative links from my Dreamwidth posts and running link checks, which revealed that I'd made a few typos when creating directories, not surprising when trying to type random seven- or eight-digit numbers, but easy enough to correct locally. So now I only have one missing one-shot, Apollo's Lyre by T.C. Muirin of deviantArt fame (she of the angular Eriks: https://www.deviantart.com/muirin007). I managed to save the reviews but forgot to save the actual story after reading it, so I shall need to do it again some time if I can!

Date: 2021-01-20 11:27 pm (UTC)Links from external sites, e.g. Google search pages or Dreamwidth, seem to work a bit better than directly typed or bookmarked URLs, possibly because Cloudflare weights them as 'trusted' in some way... or maybe it's just random after all. That link above didn't work when I clicked on it at 6pm this evening, and then it did just now.
