Arctic Raoul

The story is not going well — I need to rewrite the wretched 'voyage of the Résurgence' chapter again as a result of having rewritten the end of it and unbalanced the whole thing, and I haven't even attempted the task. And the chapter that ought to be easy going, Raoul and Christine's reunion, is proving very heavy work and I suspect unsatisfactory in similar ways (because I'm doing the same thing, trying to replace writing an action sequence — in this case Christine's adventures in the mountains after escaping Erik — by a brief in-text summary from the character).

On the other hand, I have a face-claim for Arctic Raoul, beard, frostbite, rag-tag clothing and all :-)
