I got this guest review on If I should Die:
This was beautifully restrained and devastating in the quietest way. The sense of cold, exhaustion, and looming inevitability is so vivid, and Athos’s reflections on love, duty, and regret felt deeply earned rather than indulgent. That farewell with Aramis, especially the handkerchief and the unspoken understanding, absolutely wrecked me. I’m curious, do you see Athos’s need for expiation here as something he believes can truly be achieved, or is it more about choosing the right ending, whatever the cost?

Which I was initially excited about, because the "Twenty Years After" fics basically don't get reviewed at all. But the wording/rhythm of it sounded a little odd, and I had a look through other recently updated fics in the general 'Musketeers' fandom on AO3, and discovered the following reviews also posted by "sunshine (Guest)" :-(

Which means that I have now received three 'spam' auto-generated reviews in a row on these various stories. Presumably when and if the author responds the reviewer then issues the invitation to 'talk on Discord' (going by my first experience)...

This chapter was tense in such a slow, inevitable way. Watching Tréville piece things together while knowing the danger is already moving felt brutal, and Laurence’s innocence made everything hurt more. The contrast between the careful planning at the garrison and Milady’s quiet, calculated manipulation was chilling, especially how easily she turns kindness and faith into weapons. The ending at Notre Dame was heartbreaking, knowing exactly what’s coming while Laurence doesn’t suspect a thing. I’m curious about one thing though. How quickly is Milady’s interference going to derail Tréville’s rescue plan, and will he realize what’s gone wrong before it’s too late for the others too?

This was soft, intimate, and beautifully paced. The focus on care and quiet moments made Aramis’s vulnerability feel real, and the transition into being three was handled with so much gentleness and trust. I loved how the injury created space for emotional honesty, and the coda’s domestic warmth balanced the fear underneath it perfectly. I’m curious about one thing though. Once Aramis is healed and back at the garrison, do you think their relationship will hold this calm rhythm, or will the danger of musketeer life change how they exist as three?

This chapter was intense in a quiet, unsettling way that really worked. The unreliable narration was handled beautifully, especially how Athos’ confusion and physical disorientation bled into the scene, making it hard to tell what was memory, assumption, or reality. D’Artagnan’s sections were especially strong too. The slipping identities, half remembered conversations, and sudden violence made everything feel fragile and dangerous, like the ground could drop out at any moment. I’m curious about one thing though. How much of what we’re seeing right now is intentional manipulation by their enemies versus the characters genuinely losing their grip on events and each other under pressure?

This chapter was wild in the best way. The emotional shift from quiet self destruction to full chaotic comeback felt completely earned, and the gargoyle scene was unhinged, theatrical, and painfully in character. Athos’ mix of fear, control, and care hit hard, and the discipline and aftercare felt grounded and necessary. Ending on softness and humor tied everything together perfectly. I’m curious about one thing though, after this, do you think D’Artagnan will approach challenges differently, or is he still going to throw himself headfirst into chaos and just accept the consequences when they come?

This chapter was intense and quietly heartbreaking. The shift from intimacy to betrayal felt inevitable and painful, and the way love, power, and guilt tangled together made every exchange cut deep. Anne felt fully human here, and Armand’s struggle between the Cardinal and the man he loves was devastating to watch. I’m curious about one thing though. After this, do you think their relationship can truly reset on more equal ground, or has this betrayal permanently changed how Armand will see Anne?
