Lack of wish-fulfilment

igenlodeI had another of my old dreams of frozen rejection last night. I don't suppose it takes a genius to work out what sparked that one off...
Apparently while my subconscious is perfectly capable of coming up with these reunion scenarios it declines to invest them with anything other than a remorselessly realistic outcome; I am tolerated only so long as I refrain from displaying the slightest inconvenient interest. My dreaming mind is all too rigidly honourable in its approach to constructing RPF -- a little wish-fulfilment just once in a while might be nice, rather than the same old recoil over and over again :-(
Even in my sleep I'm not capable of presenting any conceivable threat...
