Separation anxiety

I had another go at removing the yellow poppy from the miniature rose pot -- the last time I did this the transplanted poppy roots failed to thrive and eventually died off altogether, and the plant eventually re-emerged from whatever scraps of root were left in the rose pot...!

The last honesty seedling finally seems to have turned the corner and decided to survive -- it is putting out another set of leaves and its first set have stabilised. However it has of course lost at least a month of the growing season and may well never come to anything.

The towel-tomatoes are nearly over for this year, having long since stopped flowering and practically finished ripening, but have once again been very successful. The current crop are extremely tasty and sweeter than the earlier fruit (and now have their proper proportion of seeds in them!) Meanwhile the chillies now have full-sized inch-long green fruit on them as well as being covered with flowers, so it is just a matter of seeing whether they can catch up from having been a fortnight later even than last year :-(
