Roma tomatoes

I finally picked the Roma tomatoes a few days ago, fortunately before the first frosts that elegantly encrusted my unseasonal rose:


The biggest tomatoes are not a bad size, having almost achieved two inches, and are starting to change colour; I shall be cooking with them rather than eating them as salad, however!

(Is it just me, or does the word "Roma" inevitably invoke the unfortunate Piangi?)
