Strawberries, rosemary and lavender

Feeling pleased with myself tonight for managing to salvage a punnet of distinctly tired strawberries by baking them with a few sprigs of rosemary and lavender after cutting out the brown bits; very nice with rice pudding (an option not of course available to the vegans...). The cooked berries looked a bit limp after being baked, but to be honest they'd looked a bit limp before they went in, so it simply concealed the fact!

The smell was delicious and the herbs worked surprisingly well, even if I should really have put more in -- we had a severe shortage of lavender outside.
