Microwave 2

Well, the venison pie was very tasty (even if I did end up eating it at about 11:30pm); I didn't have any kidney, but it worked well with a portion of venison, a quarter of a tin of chopped tinned pork, a hard-boiled egg, and the magic ingredient for this recipe -- some slices of black pudding. It's always a very extravagant recipe to make as it requires at least three different meats on hand (slightly less extravagant with venison instead of beef!), but it gives reliably good results. The last time I made it was after being served a very anaemic meat pie at a pub lunch. I could and did do better :-p

And there is definitely something very wrong with the microwave. ( Read more... )
