8,000 miles down the drain

I managed to reset the odometer on my cycle computer while trying to set its internal clock to Summer Time (I slipped and grabbed it at just the wrong moment while depressing the little button at the back, thus managing to trigger some arcane combination of keys). There go eight thousand arduously acquired miles, in the blink of an eyelid...

(It wasn't a true reading anyhow, since it only reflects the elapsed mileage since the battery was last changed; but it does represent several years of travel!)

Another reason to get annoyed with Summer Time....
