Continuity

Hmm, I thought I'd just spent the day fixing the continuity problems between chapters 1 and 2, but now I come to type up the end of chapter 1 (with Hertha in full 'severe elder brother' mode) I think I seem to have gone too far the other way. A pity, because I was rather enjoying writing her adolescent self being drawn out of her shell by Raoul and learning to romp and laugh again :-(
And as a result I still haven't finished typing this wretched chapter that has to be frozen and finalised by the 31st... this sort of thing is precisely why I do not publish as I go.
(Although to be honest I'm not sure how much difference it will make, given that my instinctive response has been to alter the tone of the new stuff to fit in with the 'established canon' of what I've already written, rather than to consider altering the latter...)
