I tried the yoghurt yet again. Bought organic full-fat milk (reduced at the supermarket ;-p) and thickened it further with a couple of tablespoon of dried milk powder, bought 'live bio' yoghurt to use as a start and froze the remainder into ice-cube-sized chunks, washed the flask out thoroughly with very hot water, warmed the 2 pints of milk very, very, very slowly to just below boiling point and let it cool...
The yoghurt didn't so much set as coagulate -- I could see the rough surface when I opened the flask. It certainly wasn't 'creamy', and of course I had a dreadful job getting it out. And what came out was the texture of cottage cheese.
I think it may have been too thick going in. And I really don't think the flask is helping.
Poor romance-starved unworldly Valentine has become a proxy for self-insert Phantom-fans everywhere ;-P (And ironically she doesn't even know Erik exists; if she did, she'd probably be sighing over his grand passion with the best of them.)
