I like to sleep with the fanlight open if at all possible -- I had to
admit that it was time to close the main casement by November -- so
the temperature goes down to about fifty degrees at night; next to the
glass it's no doubt colder!
The main issue is that it's such a disincentive to getting out of bed
in the mornings; I'm a past master in the art of getting dressed Very
Quickly Indeed. On the other hand, sliding down into a warm bed in a
cold room with a hot-water-bottle waiting for you is a part of the
winter to look forward to :-D
