Germination
11 April 2022 10:29 pmIt looks as if two each of the two tomato varieties I planted on the 21st of March have popped up their heads in the course of today -- I thought I spotted one down the edge of the pot yesterday, but that shoot seems to have withered and died overnight (despite being brought indoors), so I'm not counting my chickens for these four just yet.
Still no sign of germination from either of the two successive batches of purple (normal) Swan River daisies that I've put in so far, which is a bit odd. I'm pretty sure that I do have some identifiable mesembryanthemums, because they are staying low and plumping up, which means I can weed out the other things -- it's always a bit awkward when you have non-sterile compost and aren't sure which of the seedlings are the ones you wanted :-D
I think I *may* have some genuine basil seedlings, because they are spreading low and flat and sulking in an authentic manner :-p ( Read more... )
