They're all at it

In the course of writing a "Les Miserables" fanfic, I resorted to looking up a character on the Internet because I wasn't sure I'd translated his official position from the French correctly. (In fact, as I'd suspected, it turned out that I'd got hold of completely the wrong end of the stick, so it was just as well I checked.)

Since this official is an incredibly minor off-stage character who is mentioned precisely three times in the course of a twelve-thousand-page book, I was rather surprised to find links to a number of fanfiction stories featuring him among the top ten web search results; I'd expected him to show up in public domain translations and maybe an exhaustive fan wiki or two for the book. So naturally I had to go and have a look and find out what other people had been writing...

Big mistake! I really shouldn't have let my curiosity lead me into clicking AO3's 'yes, I am an adult' button; whether or not I am an adult, there are mental images that I can really do without :-(

Apparently there is nothing and no-one, however obscure, that this fandom can't write explicit porn about...
