Ding dong, the Phantom's dead
4 January 2020 01:06 amYesterday I FINALLY finished Plot Point Fifteen and killed off Erik -- the former being frankly much more important than the latter, at least so far as I'm concerned :-D
And I'm actually quite pleased with the killing-off; doing it through Raoul's eyes certainly produces a novel viewpoint so far as Phantom fanfic is concerned, and once we got into dialogue again it came relatively easily.
That means I only have the aftermath scene and then the epilogue (possibly featuring Mlle Gilberte Lancard) to deal with. I celebrated by spending most of today calculating a progress graph based on clues in my own blogposts in order to see where the time went; apparently I've been writing this story for 780 days [eek]

You can certainly see the points at which my productivity level shot up again, and the ones where I got stuck for long periods (and talked about it very little!) But in fact it's a much more consistent line than I'd have expected, averaging out at a pretty steady 150 words/day once you get past the excitement of the beginning, where I was posting figures of 500 or even 750 words per day -- a level which I didn't hit again until I reached the R/C fluff of the return to France around Day 650 ;-p
Now I need to tackle the question of how Raoul deals with the money...
