Can't write C/E conversation

Making very heavy weather of writing a single page (~500 words) of Christine/Erik interaction -- how on earth do people write entire epics of these two shut up together, and how am I going to manage several chapters of it? :-(

I seem to remember having this trouble with "Blue Remembered Hills"; after two or three chapters of Erik's view on Cris and then Cris's view on Erik, I just couldn't think of any fresh reaction for them to have towards one another, and had to resort to writing the final scene from Rall's viewpoint instead after running out of viewpoint for Cris :-P

What amuses me is that the conversation immediately picks up when they start talking about Raoul... heavens above, I really do have a one-track subconscious, don't I? It's very odd, because I'm certainly not fixated on him the way the fangirls are on their Erik; it's just that that seems to be where my ideas come from.

I actually thought I'd been blogging rather more frequently than usual of late... although I've been reading this fic: http://archiveofourown.org/works/11815203/chapters/26657349

(those trigger tags really are a bit over the top -- presumably that's AO3 culture?)

Maybe it's because we're R/C shippers??
But this is silly -- I don't 'ship' Raoul with Madame Valerius, but I'm perfectly capable of writing a scene between them...
I think the trouble is that Erik's emotions are so repetitive that you just exhaust the possibilities after a while. Although I haven't really got far enough to exhaust them yet; another 250 words today, and that was surprisingly good going.

But there is some good stuff in here -- it's just very hard work to come up with it.

Did you think Erik would die when you had torn out his heart and trampled on it? Did you think you would be so easily rid of me? Well, now you have fled and fled until there is nowhere left to run, and Erik has found you; and he has no heart left to listen to your lying pleas and your pleading little lies, as he did before...
