Well, it has a high proportion of readers who take their 'Erik' *very* seriously :-( I still haven't forgotten the reviewer who responded to Count Philippe Takes a Hand (which is verging on C/R smut, inasmuch as that's credible with the Leroux characters) with the jaw-dropping suggestion that Christine was busy having a steamy affair with the Phantom off-stage while using Raoul as a 'front' to cover up the paternity of her children...
I think I am going to tag this one openly, simply for the reason that the opening scene is only about 400 words out of a story that runs nearly 4,000 in its current form and the whole of the rest of the fic is very definite, so the attempt at ambiguity is a bit pointless in that context.
