Milk with spices sounds interesting, I don't know any recipes of anything like this except Indian "golden milk" which isn't even dairy-based.
It's a handwritten recipe from my scrapbook that I think I cobbled together from various sources, at least one of which was indeed Indian in origin :-)
You brown the chicken all over in oil, then remove it and toast garlic, cumin and paprika in the same oil, then replace the chicken, pour over the milk and simmer with a bayleaf, thyme or sage (I used both!) and the zest and juice of a lemon until cooked. The paprika makes it very yellow and Indian-looking ;-p
