I don't think there's any relationship with Hamlet (other than the 'forsooth', perhaps). I'm tending increasingly to the random-word-association theory, since I do remember typing nonsense and/or making up disjointed correspondence on the spot when confronted with a blank sheet of paper.

However, someone clearly thought it significant enough to date and file away amongst my papers of the era ;-)
