Yes, I had my usual fun alluding to and misattributing lyrics, everything from Why can't the past just die? to we have both been... replaced -- as well as the more obvious nods to "All I Ask of You" and "Dear Old Friend", the theme of the chapter for obvious reasons!

In Christine's absence, Meg really does get to sing the 'something glorious' that Madame Giry promised her; in fact I rather think from the description that the Phantom has just invented Andrew Lloyd Webber :-D
