The knife slipped when I was chopping onions :-(

Only a glancing blow across the tops of two fingers -- I wasn't applying any great force at the time -- but they didn't half bleed. It made them quite tricky to tape up.

That's why I'm afraid to use sharp knives, even though I know it's counterproductive. :(

Yes -- if the knife had been blunt, I'd have been pressing down harder in my attempts to chop, and it would have both been more likely to slip as a result and liable to collide much more forcefully with anything it encountered on the way...

The fingers are fine, I think, though I've still got them taped up in an attempt to ensure the cuts remain clean (and a reminder not to get them in the bath/washing-up water!) It's not really much worse than paper cuts, and won't be any problem just so long as I make absolutely certain not to get them infected this time round.
