Giant vegetables

The local greengrocer doesn't deal in half-measures.

I've just received a fifteen-inch cucumber and two twenty-two-inch leeks!

Edit: I made the ends of the leeks into soupy leek rice with poached egg, since I already had a potion of leftover leek and kidney bean chilli in the freezer -- the usual destination for the tough green bits of leeks -- and I had to cut off at least the top third before I could fit them in the refrigerator ;-p
